ROMANIAN EXCHANGE
Our Romanian exchange program celebrated 11 years in 2019 with a finale Thanksgiving dinner that included everyone dancing to traditional Romanian songs and Cotton Eyed Joe. The students learned about caverns and karst topography at Luray Caverns, toured Monticello and the Rotunda at UVA, compelted a physics lab at JMU ( Thank Drs. Niculescu and Mr. O’Neill), visited the Virginia Tech Institute for Creativity, Arts & Technology and VT with a former SVGS alum and exchange host, Max Elkins. Another SVGS alum and former exchange host, Isaiah Knopp hosted all for a cookout.

SVGS is proud to announce that we will be piloting the school edition of THE HELLO GIRLS, by Peter Mills and Cara Reichel, in cooperation with Theatrical Rights Worldwide, as our January show! This new off-Broadway musical follows the story of five amazing women who served in France with the Signal Corps during World War I. #mightygirls #firstfemalesoldiers
