Congratulations on your acceptance to SVGS! This was an extremely competitive year for applicants. You have worked hard for this opportunity and have been selected to become a valued part of a unique educational environment. We appreciate your many accomplishments and exceptional talent as evidence of what you have done but will challenge you to gain new skills and to understand your potential for what you can and will accomplish in the future.
To facilitate your enrollment in SVGS, please refer to the attached “Calendar of Important Dates”.
Attached to this letter are several very important forms. The “Memo of Understanding” needs to be completed and returned to your high school counselor by Wednesday, April 25. The “Course Pre-Registration” form needs to be completed and returned to your counselor no later than Friday, May 4
To help you with course selections and answer any remaining questions you might have prior to signing the “Memo of Understanding,” SVGS staff and I will be available on Monday, April 16, and Thursday, April 19, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at SVGS to assist all accepted students. I will make a brief formal presentation beginning promptly at 6:30 p.m., followed by time for group and individual questions.
I will also meet with students individually at their high schools to review and assist them in course selections beginning the week of April 16.
Again, we congratulate you on your acceptance to SVGS. You should be very proud of your work and accomplishments!
