More than 200 students from throughout the state presented their original research projects in science and engineering at the Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday, March 29 at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington.
Participants included SVGS students Megan Godsey,WMHS, Abigail Johnson, Lee HS and Alex Maneval, WHS. Job well done!
Congratulations to Abigail Johnson who was a 2nd place winner in Environmental Science and was recognized with the Stockholm Junior Water Prize. Abigail will join about 20 other Virginia students selected to compete in the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, California from May 11-16, 2014. This event draws about 1600 students from over 70 countries and states all across the U.S.
