Radford University Capture the Flag Contest 2015
Members of the SVGS networking class participated in this contest the week of March 23-28. This fully online competition consists of cyber security challenges covering topics such as steganography (hiding information in other files such as pictures), software exploitation, computer forensics, cryptography, networking(HTML, Javascript, PHP) and operating systems(Windows and Linux)
The SVGS team of Josh Allen, A.J. DiOrio and Ailec Wu placed 2nd out of 23 teams.
The SVGS team of Quinn Weidner, Alex Schmidt, Sam Garst and Tommy Merritt placed 10th out of 23 teams.

SVGS students participating in this competition are dual enrolled in Radford University’s course ITEC 145: Data Ethics, Privacy and Security and SVGS’s Computer Networking, Security and Software Operations course co-taught by John York, BRCC network engineer and Len Klein, SVGS technology instructor.
