Presents The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza, streaming Dec. 3-6
The first-ever virtual production by the Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School Theatre Department, The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza (one-act), by Don Zolidis, is a high-energy romp through some favorite myths as told by three narrators who may or may not have done their research. The ensemble works together to portray a variety of mythical characters and events with minimal sets and creative spacious staging.

Narrators Henry Fosnocht, Addison Midkiff, and Samantha Mundy strive to maintain control over a rag-tag group of actors in a mad dash through the canon of Greek mythology. The ensemble, each of whom plays several roles throughout the various stories, includes Rey Bandy, Sydney Bowles, Virginia Browning, Carter Bussey, Emma Garletts, Josanna Henry, Andrew Hostetter, Christina Lam, Victoria Lambert, Olivia Nargi, Ryland Oakes, Addison Obaugh, Emmeline Soyars, Caitie Spielman, Benjamin Strassler, and Trinity Walker.
The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza (one-act) features costume design by theatre students Emmeline Soyars and Trinity Walker and graphic design by art student Madison Helmick. It is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. (www.playscripts.com).
This production will be filmed in partnership with Waynesboro Players. The Players received a CARES grant from the city of Waynesboro to keep community theatre afloat during the current COVID-19 crisis, and they used this grant to set up their warehouse as a filming location complete with lighting, camera, and editing equipment. SVGS Theatre is grateful to the Players for sharing their resources and making this production possible.
