Busy week for Teachers for Tomorrow and GO2TEACH Students

Our students in the Teachers for Tomorrow/GO2TEACH program have had an exciting week. At the end of last week, Miss Fauquier County, Emmeline Soyars, spoke with the class about her recent diagnosis of Autism. Miss Soyars, is an Alumni of SVGS from our Arts and Humanities Program. She talked about her education, her daily trials, and how Autism has impacted her life. Her “platform” for the upcoming Miss Virginia pageant deals with raising awareness to Autism. On Tuesday night, students from both programs (along with their instructors Lindsay Campbell and Lucy Marion) presented to our local Delta Cappa Gamma (DKG) chapter! The mission of DKG is to promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. We are proud of our students, our alumni, and how they lead in our community.
