JMU GIS Contest Winner

Congratulations to one of our outstanding GIS students, Jacob Nylander, for earning 3rd Place in the annual GIS competition hosted by James Madison University!

Jacob’s project, “Determining New Nuclear Power Plant Locations,” was selected as one of the top three entries among students representing 31 schools across Virginia. The competition recognized only three place winners and three honorable mentions, making this an impressive achievement.

We are grateful for JMU’s continued support of our GIS program and proud of Jacob for representing our school with excellence. A link to Jacob’s project can be found here.
