Reviewing, Reinvesting and Reimaging
During the fall of 2014, Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School (SVGS) began developing a strategic plan for 2015-2020. As part of our planning process, stakeholders were asked to provide input through a community survey. In addition, insights and data were collected through focus groups for parents, students, local school personnel and business/industry representatives. Focus groups were facilitated and assessed by a representative of James Madison University’s Center for Faculty Innovation. Four regional planning teams were formed with representatives of college and universities, school divisions and the community (see below). We are grateful for all those who lent their ideas, thoughts and input by participating in the community survey, focus groups and planning teams.
