“Back to School” nights give parents a chance to meet their student’s teachers and learn about their classes. Students are not required to attend but are encouraged to do so.
Thursday, August 18 “Back to School” night for Arts & Humanities students and parents 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Monday, August 22 “Back to School” night for STEM students and parents 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
We will follow schedule below for “Back to School” nights:
6:30 General Introduction to All Parents/Students on the Physics Platform
6:45 Start class rotation
Parents will be given a copy of their student’s schedule. Parents will meet with on the Chem. Platform during student Independent Work Time/Senior Capstone block.
Teachers will review syllabi, class expectations/procedures/timelines, homework, grading, dual enrollment as applicable, where to find contact information.
The Parent Support Advisory Council (PSAC) serves as an advisory group to SVGS administration and supports the schools mission through advocacy, volunteering, supporting our students and fundraising. Parents’ Support and Advisory Council’s meetings are usually the 3rd Monday of the month and begin promptly at 5:30 and end at 6:30 p.m.
