From steep learning curves to innovation triumphs: The SVGS Robotics team (The Governators) participated in the First Robotics event in Blacksburg last weekend. Their journey with the new ‘swerve drive’ system was filled with challenges, but the team’s resilience paid off. Despite breaking nearly every part of the robot, they persisted, fixed, and conquered. The alliance was fourth and made it to the elimination round! Winning the ‘COTS Innovator’ award for their innovative use of linear actuators was the ultimate validation of their hard work and perseverance.
